Two Cases of Trichorrhexis nodosa

Abstract

|
Trichorrhexis nodosa is a distinctive response of the hair shaft to physical or chemical trauma, characterized by the development of node like swellings through which the shaft readily fractures.
We experienced two cases of trichorrhexis nodosa. Nodular swelling of the affected hair showed longitudinal fissures and fractures in the cortox. At the site of fracture, a paint-brush like effect was seen,
